The 1.25-inch option is selected in the screenshot. This compact size is suitable for simple logos, symbols, short names and small event designs.

The 1.75-inch size offers more room for a logo and a short message. The 2.25-inch option is a popular choice for promotional badges because it provides enough space for larger text, photographs and detailed artwork.

The largest 3-inch badge is suitable for designs that need to attract attention. It can hold longer messages, larger photographs or artwork containing several design elements.

Choosing the Correct Size

The best badge size depends on the amount of information in the design. A small badge can look clean and professional when it contains one logo or a few words. However, detailed artwork may become difficult to read when reduced to 1.25 inches.

Choose a larger size when the design includes photographs, several lines of text, QR codes or small illustrations. Important wording should remain readable from a reasonable viewing distance.

Before ordering, print the artwork at the actual badge size. This simple check can help you understand whether the logo, colors and text will remain clear.

Full-Color Custom Printing

The front of a round button badge can support logos, photographs, gradients, patterns and other full-color artwork. This provides more creative freedom than production methods that limit the number of available colors.

Customers can create badges for company campaigns, school events, birthdays, conferences, fundraising or retail merchandise. The design can cover the entire circular front, including the outer area that wraps around the badge edge.

A white background can create a clean appearance, while bold colors can make the badge easier to notice. High contrast between the text and background will improve readability.

Printed Front with Protective Cover

Round button badges are commonly produced by placing printed artwork over a metal front and covering it with a thin protective film. This layer can help protect the print from light scratches, fingerprints and ordinary handling.

The product page should confirm whether the standard surface is glossy or matte. A glossy finish may make colors appear brighter, while a matte finish can reduce reflections under strong lighting.

The finish is not designed to make the badge waterproof unless this is specifically confirmed. Customers should avoid long exposure to rain or moisture.

Metal Back and Pin Attachment

The gallery shows a metal back with a pin fitting. The pin allows the badge to be attached to shirts, jackets, hats, fabric bags and event lanyards.

The exact attachment type should be added to the product page. It may be a traditional safety pin, bar pin or another fitting. Customers should also confirm whether the attachment is suitable for children’s products or school events.

The pin may leave a small hole in delicate fabric. If the customer does not want to pierce clothing, RAFFLESTAG can confirm whether magnetic or clip-back alternatives are available.

Artwork Preparation

Customers can upload artwork files up to 10MB. Vector AI, EPS, SVG or editable PDF files are recommended for logos, icons and text because they can be resized without losing quality.

High-resolution PNG or JPEG files may be used for photographs and detailed artwork. Low-resolution screenshots or images downloaded from social media may look blurred when printed.

The design should include bleed around the outside edge because part of the artwork will wrap around the badge. Important text, faces and logos should remain inside the central safe area.

Request the correct template for the selected badge size before preparing the final artwork.
